Nearsightedness

Nearsightedness

Nearsightedness (myopia) is a condition of the eye that causes a person to see near objects clearly while objects in the distance are blurred. As a result, someone with myopia tends to squint when viewing far away objects. That condition occurs when the light entering the eye focuses in front of the retina instead of directly on it. That happens when the cornea is steeper or an eye is longer than a normal eye.
